By Explicit SARMs Team

BPC-157 and TB-500 are two of the most widely studied research peptides, and they are often compared, or supplied together as a blend. They are unrelated molecules: BPC-157 is a 15-amino-acid peptide whose sequence derives from a protein fragment first described in gastric juice, while TB-500 is a synthetic fragment of thymosin beta-4. This page compares them for laboratory research only.

What the literature covers

Most BPC-157 literature comes from one research group and focuses on rodent and cell models, including angiogenesis and tendon-fibroblast work (Seiwerth et al. 2018; Chang et al. 2011). TB-500 research draws on the broader thymosin beta-4 literature, which studies its actin-binding role in cell migration models (Goldstein et al. 2012).

Why researchers study them together

Because the two peptides act through different, unrelated mechanisms in published models, some laboratories study them side by side or as a combined reference blend. Explicit SARMs supplies both single compounds and BPC-157 / TB-500 blends.

How Explicit SARMs tests these compounds

Our manufacturer tests it twice during production, and we use an independent third-party lab for purity testing. A COA is available on request.

FAQ

Is TB-500 the same as thymosin beta-4?

No. TB-500 is a synthetic fragment based on thymosin beta-4, not the full 43-amino-acid protein.

What is the difference between BPC-157 and TB-500?

They are unrelated peptides: BPC-157 is a 15-amino-acid sequence derived from a gastric-juice protein fragment, while TB-500 is a synthetic thymosin beta-4 fragment. They are studied in different research models.

What formats does Explicit SARMs supply?

Lyophilized vials, sprays (500mcg per 6 sprays), capsules and BPC-157 / TB-500 blends, all for laboratory research use only.

How are they tested?

Our manufacturer tests it twice during production, and we use an independent third-party lab for purity testing. A COA is available on request.
