CJC-1295 with DAC: A Long-Acting GHRH Analog in Research

For laboratory research use only. Not for human consumption. All compounds referenced in this article are sold by Explicit SARMs solely as reference materials for in-vitro and animal research by qualified professionals. Nothing here is medical advice, and no statement has been evaluated by the FDA. These materials are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

CJC-1295 is the name of a modified GHRH analog, and the “with DAC” and “no DAC” versions sold under it are different compounds with very different durations of action. This overview covers the DAC version: what it is, how the modification works and what has been studied.

Explicit SARMs supplies CJC DAC 5mg strictly as laboratory reference material.

What CJC-1295 with DAC Is

  • Base peptide: a 29-amino-acid GHRH analog with amino-acid substitutions that improve resistance to enzymatic breakdown.
  • DAC: a “drug affinity complex,” a reactive linker that lets the peptide bind to circulating albumin and greatly extends its half-life.
  • Target: the GHRH receptor in the pituitary.
  • Regulatory status: it is not approved by the FDA for any indication, and GHRH analogs appear on the World Anti-Doping Agency’s prohibited list.

DAC vs No DAC

Without the DAC linker, the peptide (often called modified GRF 1-29) has a short duration of action similar to other 1-29 analogs. With DAC, albumin binding turns it into a long-acting compound. In research terms, that means a sustained stimulus rather than a pulse, which affects study design and sampling. For the short-acting version, see our CJC-1295 without DAC FAQ.

What Research Has Examined

Published work has focused on its extended pharmacokinetics and on sustained increases in growth hormone and IGF-1 signaling. Clinical development did not lead to an approved product. As with other compounds in this group, hormone changes are measured endpoints, not evidence of functional outcomes.

Sourcing and Documentation

Our products come from US domestic manufacturing with three-stage testing: two tests by our manufacturer, then an independent test by Accumark on our behalf. A lot-specific certificate of analysis is available on request through our contact page, and published results are on our lab results page. Record the lot number, COA reference and reconstitution details for every vial.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is CJC-1295 the same as sermorelin?

No. Both are GHRH analogs, but CJC-1295 carries substitutions and, in the DAC version, an albumin-binding linker. Sermorelin is the unmodified 1-29 fragment.

Why is CJC-1295 often paired with ipamorelin?

They act on different receptors, the GHRH receptor and the ghrelin receptor. See our CJC-1295 / ipamorelin overview.

Do you provide dosing or usage guidance?

No. CJC-1295 with DAC is sold strictly for laboratory research, and we do not provide dosing, administration or usage guidance.
